A fun-filled day in the great outdoors, we promise something for everyone with both hooves and handlebars in the Grand Ring at the 2026 South Suffolk Show!

OG Performance Horses will be performing 2 captivating displays of trick riding, showcasing the beauty and power of the horse. Whilst JPL Shetland Pony Racing will provide a gutsy spectacle of speed!

For those who prefer horse power with an engine, Paul Hannam’s ATV Stunt Show (as seen on BBC’s Top Gear with Paddy McGuinness ) will give 2 high-adrenaline displays of daring stunts on quad bikes, flying over ever-increasing obstacles with all 4 wheels airborne! In addition we will be celebrating 100 years of British Sugar, with a display of agricultural machinery used over the years in the production of the sugar beet crop from field to factory.

As always there will be plenty to see and do outside the grand ring including farriers in the forge, birds of prey on the wing, gun dogs working, morris dancers and musicians entertaining, the ever popular vintage tractors, and everyone’s favourite: The Sheep Show! Not to mention the Lifestyle Marquee packed with unique creations, the Food Hall full of tempting treats, and sheep, pigs, cattle and horses all competing for rosettes amongst trade stands galore and carefully selected food vendors!

Even canine companions will be catered for with a fun dog show run by ‘Pooch’s Yard’ of Thetford, taking entries on the day and offering rosettes for the waggiest tail and shiniest coat!

And if you dare, the fun fair will be there!

Gundog Display

The Suffolk Gundog Club provide a remarkable display of skill and obedience with their retrievers and spaniels. Replicating a field trial within the grand ring, the dogs are put through their paces searching and retrieving on command. Constantly alert and with their eagerness to work, these dogs and their talented handlers never fail to impress.

Falconry

Thrilling displays of falconry always attract the crowds around the grand ring, as birds of prey soar high over the showground before returning to the glove with deft precision. Accompanied by enlightening and entertaining commentary, a selection of birds will showcase their magnificent wing spans as they dominate the sky at the show.

Terrier Racing

The East Anglian Jack Russell & Lurcher Club delight the crowds with the antics of their Terrier Racing Team, and invite visitors into the ring to compete with their own dogs. Clear to see the joy on the faces of the dogs (and their owners) as they chase the sock, this is a firm favourite amongst dog lovers, and coupled with an equally popular event especially for the younger children called Race the Terrier! PLEASE NOTE THAT TERRIER RACING WILL NOT BE AT THE 2026 SHOW

Vintage Tractor Collection

Lines of lovingly restored vintage tractors and stationary machines cement the agricultural roots of the show, allowing for a moments reminiscing over times gone by.
